The soccer team had a successful trip out to western SD. On Friday they beat Hot Springs, 3-1, and on Saturday they tied Custer, 1-1. The Bobcats are currently ranked 4th in Class A with 5 wins, 3 ties, and 1 loss.

Marion students and staff culminated a fun homecoming week with a parade on Friday and wins from both the soccer team (3-1 win over Hot Springs) and the football team (68-40 win over Gayville-Volin).

Dear Community Members, We are thrilled to announce that Marions’ Homecoming Parade will be held on Friday, September 13th at 11:00 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for us all to come together and celebrate our community spirit. To ensure the safety of all participants, including students, staff, and floats, we ask everyone to adhere to the following guidelines: - Floats should be decorated and ready by 10:30 a.m. to avoid last-minute adjustments. - Ensure that all floats are securely constructed and do not pose a hazard to participants or spectators. - Maintain a safe distance from other floats and spectators during the parade. -Please keep an eye out for students during line-up and spectators during the parade, especially if you are handing out candy. The Marion Strength Program is selling 50/50 raffle tickets with the winner to be selected after the third quarter of the football game in Marion of Friday September 13th. All proceeds will go to improving the weight room. Tickets can be purchased at the front office Monday September 9th - Thursday September 12th from 8-4 or Friday night during the football game. Tickets are $5 for 1 ticket or $20 for one arm-length. If you have any questions please contact Mr. VonBerge at jacob.vonberge@k12.sd.us. Thank you for your support of our program.

Mums will be available for pick up by the new gym starting Tuesday, September 10th, from 4-6 pm, Thursday, the 12th, from 4-5 pm, and again on Friday, September 13, before the homecoming football game from 2-3 pm. Other arrangements can also be made for pick up (contact Mrs. Anne Pankratz). COST-$10/mum and includes-charm of choice and an “M” charm. Hello Marion Families! The junior class will be hosting a homecoming tailgate to raise money for prom! We will have a burger bar with chips, a water, and a dessert for $10, additional burgers can be purchased for $5! We hope to see you there!

The Bobcat Soccer team is fundraising and selling mugs. 35% of the proceeds go back to the soccer team to help cover travel expenses and food for the team. The Preschool and Junior Kindergarten classes were busy last week working on project for Aa week. Good job students you apples turned out amazing!

The second graders are learning about the American Flag as part of a citizenship unit. They enjoyed looking at a collection of flags from the Siouxland Heritage Museum!
